Option 1
2 cups overripe mashed banana
2/3 cups almond butter
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp chocolate protein powder
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Optional: chocolate chips, crushed nuts
Method
Start by slightly warming the almond butter until it is easily stir-able.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, stir until completely smooth, and spread into a greased pan.
Bake for about 15 minutes (keep checking on it). Let cool before slicing.
Option 2
1 cup gluten free oats
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 scoop organic protein powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 medium to large ripe bananas
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Optional: chocolate chips, crushed nuts
Method
Place oats into blender or food processor and blend for 1-2 minutes until oatmeal resembles flour. Transfer oat flour to a medium bowl; whisk in cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and baking soda; set aside.
Place banana and vanilla into blender; blend until smooth and creamy. Add to oat flour mixture and mix until just combined.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips (if using). Pour batter into a greased pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Cool 10-15 minutes before slicing.
